Day 1 Arrival in Yerevan

• Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport.
• Transfer to hotel.
• Overnight.
Day 2 Yerevan

• Breakfast at hotel.
• Yerevan City tour. (Cascade, Cafesjian Art Centre, Opera House, Republic Square).
• Visiting Noy Brandy Company, degustation of Winston Churchill’s most favourite, worldwide famous Armenian brandy.
• Evening free or walking in the city centre.
• Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 3 Yerevan-Echmiadzin-Yerevan

• Breakfast at hotel
• On the way to Holy Echmiadzin – the Armenian Vatican
• Visiting Saint Hripsime Church (7th c. UNESCO World Heritage site, dedicated to the martyred virgin Saint Hripsime), Mother Cathedral (4th century- the first Christian Church in the world). The Museum of Mother Cathedral houses worldwide famous relics including the Holy Lance, the relics of Noah’s Ark, relics of the Apostles, Sts. Thaddeus, Bartholomew and Andrew , St. George and many others, Saint Gayane church (7th c. UNESCO World Heritage Site) dedicated to the abbess Gayane who was martyred with other nuns by Tiridates III of Armenia in the year 301.
• Back to Yerevan.
• Free time.
• Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 4 Yerevan – Khor Virap – Noravank – Karahunj – Goris

• Breakfast at hotel and checking out
• Moving to Ararat province.
• Visiting Khor Virap Monastery (7-17th cc.) From here you can enjoy the best view of the biblical Mount Ararat (5165m) upon which Noah’s Ark landed after the flood.
• On the way to Vayots Dzor province
• Visiting Noravank monastery (13th c). Unique monastic complex among red cliffs.
• Driving to Syunik province
• Visiting Armenian Stonehenge called Karahunj or Zorats Karer ( Almighty Stones) dating back to 7500BC. This makes Karahunj 3500 years older than the British Stonehenge and 3000 years older than the Egyptian pyramids.
• Moving on to Goris
• Check in at the hotel
• Overnight
Day 5 Goris– Tatev – Khndzoresk– Goris

• Breakfast at hotel and checking out
• Taking a round trip on the Wings of Tatev ropeway (longest reversible aerial tramway in the world built in one section only)
• Visiting Tatev Monastery (9th cen. UNESCO World Heritage site)
• Moving on to Kndzoresk which is famous for its canyon with picturesque rock formations and ancient cave settlement. The artificial caves used to be inhabited till the 1950s.
• Return to Goris.
• Overnight at hotel


Day 6 Goris – Selim Pass –Noradouz – Lake Sevan

• Breakfast at hotel and checking out.
• Drive to Lake Sevan via Selim pass(2410 m. the Selim Pass Caravanserai is a valuable example of overnight spots for caravans laden with goods along the Armenian Silk Road)
• Lake Sevan – the largest alpine high mountain freshwater lake in the Caucasus region and in Armenian Highland.
• Visiting Noradouz village famous for its cemetery, the oldest part of which includes over 900 khachkars (cross-stones), carved between the 9th-17th centuries.
• On the way to Sevanavank monastery (9th cen.) located on the peninsula.
• Accommodation at hotel.
• Overnight in Sevan.
Day 7 Sevan – Dilijan – Goshavank – Dzoraget

• Breakfast at hotel and checking out.
• Driving to Dilijan spa- Armenian Switzerland.
• Visiting Goshavank Monastery (12th cen)
• Proceed to Lori Province.
• Accommodation at hotel.
Day 8 Dzoraget– Haghpat – Sanahin– Dzoraget

• Breakfast at hotel.
• Visiting Haghpat and Sanahin Monasteries (10th c. UNESCO World Heritage sites)
• Driving back to Dzoraget.
• Free evening for leisure (indoor pools, sauna, chess, snooker, garden walking, etc.).
• Overnight at hotel
Day 9 Dzoraget– Aragats – Amberd – Yerevan

• Breakfast at hotel and checking out.
• Driving to Aragatsotn Province to explore Aragats Mountain (4090m. the highest peak in the South Caucasus)
• Visiting Amberd Fortress and a 7th-century Church of Pahlavouni Princes located 2,300 meters above sea level, on the picturesque slopes of Mount Aragats.
• Back to Yerevan
• Hotel accommodation.
• Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 10 Yerevan – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan

• Breakfast at hotel.
• Driving to Kotayk Province and visiting Geghard Monastic Complex (4-13th cc. UNESCO World Heritage Site) named after Holy Lance which pierced the side of Christ. Now the Holy Lance is displayed in the Echmiadzin Cathedral Museum
• On the way to Garni temple (1st cen. AD) dedicated to Mihr – the god of the Sun. Garni temple is the only preserved pagan temple in the whole Caucasus
• Back to Yerevan
• Visiting Vernissage – outdoor handcrafts market .
• Free evening
• Overnight

Day 11 Departure

• Departure early in the morning.
• Transfer to airport.
