Day 1 Arrival

• Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport
• Transfer to 4* hotel.
• Rest
• Lunch
• Yerevan City Tour (Cascade, Cafesjian Art Centre, Opera House, Republic Square, Noy Brandy Factory)
• Dinner in Armenian local restaurant
• Overnight at hotel

Day 2 (Yerevan –Echmiadzin-Zvartnots-Yerevan )

• Breakfast at hotel
• On the way to Holy Echmiadzin – the Armenian Vatican
• Visiting Saint Hripsime Church (7th c. UNESCO World Heritage site) dedicated to the martyred virgin Saint Hripsime
• Visiting Mother Cathedral (4th century- the first Christian Church in the world).The Museum of Mother Cathedral houses worldwide famous relics including the Holy Lance, the relics of Noah’s Ark, relics of the Apostles, Sts. Thaddeus, Bartholomew and Andrew , St. George and many others.
• Visiting Saint Gayane church (7th c. UNESCO World Heritage Site) dedicated to the abbess Gayane who was martyred with other nuns by Tiridates III of Armenia in the year
• Return to Yerevan.
• En route – Zvartnots temple (meaning “celestial angels”, UNESCO World Heritage):
• Lunch at a local restaurant
• Back to hotel
• Rest
• Dinner at a local restaurant
• Overnight at hotel

Day 3 ( Yerevan-Geghard-Garni-Sevan-Yerevan)

• Breakfast at hotel
• Driving to Kotayk Province and visiting Geghard monastic complex (4-13th cc. UNESCO World Heritage Site) which is named after Holy Lance which pierced the side of Christ. Now the Holy Lance is displayed in the Echmiadzin Cathedral Museum
• On the way to Garni temple (1st cen. AD) dedicated to Mihr – the god of the Sun. Garni temple is the only preserved pagan temple in the whole Caucasus
• Lunch at a local restaurant
• Moving on to lake Sevan (second highest lake in the world after lake Titicaca.
• Visiting Sevanavanq monastery (9th cen. located on the peninsula)
• Rest
• Back to Yerevan
• Dinner
• Back to hotel
• Overnight

Day 4 (Yerevan – Khor Virap – Noravank – Karahunj- Goris)

• Breakfast at hotel and checking out
• Moving to Ararat province.
• Driving to Ararat province and visiting Khor Virap Monastery (7-17th cc.) From here you can enjoy the best view of the biblical Mount Ararat (5165m) upon which Noah’s Ark landed after the flood.
• On the way to Vayots Dzor province
• Visiting Noravank monastery (13th c). Unique monastic complex among red cliffs.
• Lunch at a local restaurant.
• Driving to Syunik province
• Visiting Armenian Stonehenge called Karahunj or Zorats Karer ( Almighty Stones) dating back to 7500BC. This makes Karahunj 3500 years older than the British Stonehenge and 3000 years older than the Egyptian pyramids.
• Moving on to Goris
• Check in at the hotel
• Dinner
• Overnight

Day 5 (Tatev-Khndzoresk-Yerevan)

• Breakfast at hotel and checking out
• Taking a round trip on the Wings of Tatev ropeway (longest reversible aerial tramway in the world built in one section only)
• Visiting Tatev monastery (9th cen. UNESCO World Heritage site)
• Lunch at local restaurant
• Visiting Kndzoresk which is widely famous for its canyon with picturesque rock formations and ancient cave settlement. The artificial caves used to be inhabited till the 1950s
• Back to Yerevan
• Check in at hotel
• Rest
• Farewell dinner
• Overnight at hotel

Day 6 Departure

• Breakfast at hotel and checking out
• Transfer to Zvartnots International Airport
• Departure
